XLOV - 2nd Mini Album [I, God]
Release Date: May 28, 2026
The weakest and most insignificant being can finally reach the end point and choose whatever they desire to be reborn as.
With their 2nd EP album, XLOV continues the story of pain and imperfection within incomplete love that they have consistently portrayed since debut. This time, the members finally reach a state of inner completion, reborn as untouchable “gods” beyond anyone’s reach, guiding those who still remain trapped in the same forms and paths of the past.
The central theme of their debut single <I’mma Be>, “chess,” returns as a flashback, this time symbolizing the rule of “pawn promotion.” Through this album, XLOV suggests that the story they have told since debut may not belong only to themselves, but also to the listeners and audience who have followed their journey. At the same time, the album carries a layered message that their sharp reactions, emotions, and thoughts had already been foreseen by a god-like existence. This artistic narrative is fully reflected in the album title itself, allowing listeners to deeply experience the group’s evolving artistry.
Global hot rookies XLOV once again boldly showcase daring challenges and experiments that further highlight their unique charm. In addition to presenting the group’s first unit tracks, leader and producer WUMUTI, who has shaped the group’s identity with his own artistic vision since debut, participated in the songwriting alongside members HYUN and HARU, proving XLOV’s growth into a self-producing group. Through this album, they aim to deliver another wave of fresh “dopamine” to their fandom, EVOL.
The album includes the jazz-based intro track “法則: THE RULES,” the groovy bass-driven title track “SERVE,” the tech-infused and intense house track with hyperpop elements “Extancy” by members WUMUTI and RUI, the powerful 808 bass and oriental-inspired “BACK 2 BACK,” the energetic hip-hop unit track “HIPS” by HYUN and HARU featuring bass and punchy drums, and finally the EDM-based pop track “Masterpiece,” showcasing the group’s wide musical spectrum throughout the album.
